Activity with Colors

In English Day there was an activity which conducted Mrs.Barno the head of English Teachers association in Tajikistan. We called the color of things that surround us. And we discussed in groups what is the best and worst color of category of things for example car, eyes hair and others.
It is difficult to imagine life without colors. Our eyes get used to see different colors. The life in black and white is boring. Looking at our nature one may enjoy especially in spring. You can see different colors: green grass and blossoming trees which has pink flower, blue sky, colorful mountains and fields. We had another activity. It was idioms with colors.
Here are idioms with colors.
Red carpet- it is for honorable guests
Blue blood- the blood of a noble/aristocratic family
Black sheep a person who is a disgrace to a family or group
Pink elephant- it is something unreal
Yellow card- this is for punishment
Green card- give permission to go ahead to do smth

Chat  with US Teacher  Mrs.Susan Debbs  who  came to Tajikistan by GCEP exchange program.

In May 30 we had webchat with Mrs Susan Dabbs. Susan  shared with  with her experinece in Tajikistan. She   learned alot of new things  here in our country. Susan told  us about her unforgetable  day in Tajikistan. My most unforgettable day is probably the day when we crossed over the mountains to Kjuhand.  The mountains are high and the road bad.  And another  things that she does not like is when the electricity goes out.Mrs Susan see difference in education system in Tajikistan. US students go to school earlier, at 5 years and it is all day long.  US schools do not go on Saturday and the teaachers are very glad about that.
America offers great opportunities for young persons that I think Tajik is still working on.  For example the ILC’s may not be in your schools without Relief International and I think technology is the way to a better life and future.

Chat with  GCEP students from Afghanistan

Feedback  from ILC Sarband students.

our ILC Sarband had web chat with Afghan students. It was good web chat, because we had a web chat with our neighbor, with our brothers. In one time we had chat with four ILCs. They are Mayram ILC, Kabul ILC, Teacher Training ILC and yet one. We asked them about their ILCs, their teachers, their clubs and how many times they come in a week, from what clubs each of them, did they end school and how ended exams. We asked each others about their culture, their language, education of countries, feature and etc. after this chat we got more near then past, because we find new friends invited each others if they or we will be in each others, gave our e-mails. As for me I found out much useful information for myself. I knew more about our neighbors, brothers how differences and likenesses between us. I consider that if every ILCs organize so chats we will get more nearer and will have more relations with each others.   Olim Mengyarov.President of English Club.

On the12th of June we had  a chat with pupils from Afghanistan. Our chat was very interesting. They were talking us about there country and we were talking them about our country and customs and traditions. It was knowledgeable chat. And we found new friends from Afghanistan. We were talking on different topics. We gave them some questions and they answered on our question. And now we know many interesting things about Afghanistan. And Afghanistan is our neighbor. But is so pity because light switched off and our chat finished. I hope that’s we will make such chats else. And this chats help us to build a bridge between our countries. And I am so glad that’s we make such chats. And such chats help us to take useful information’s about other countries and to found new friends.  Madina  Khakimova.

Feedback from students about English Language Day

Hello   my name is Olim.

On 10th of May we went to participate in English language day in Sword Teppa in Kurgan-tube. Before that we prepared some posters to some proverbs, because we knew that there will be exhibition. When we came in to Sword Teppa we saw many organizations that represent their offices, institutes. Our teacher Zebo asked Mr.Paul where we may hang our posters. He showed our place and we hung. When we were hanging two maidens came to us and tolled about their institute, aim of institute, and others. They yet said that full information we can found in that place where they situated. Sword Teppa look as ordinary two stored building, but when we came into this building all were wondered. There is big library full of books, conference gym, and museum in inside of sword teppa. We came into the library and took some interesting books and read there. After that we went to look eco lab. There are many kinds of animals such as butterflies, flies, lizards, grasshopper, and the other kinds of animals. Of course they were died.

After that we came to yard. There took place some activities and we participated in it. It was activities with colors. Then we had talking with British ambassador in Tajikistan. He tolled about himself, about his mission in Tajikistan, about his motherland. When he ended his talking we had time to ask him. Many teachers and pupils asked about his motherland, his advises to teens and etc. after that to us showed script one part of forensic matter of Richard. Best two teachers and ambassador were juror. This script was outstanding script, because there was judge, defenders of Richard and others.

After ending the drama we had a snack. We wanted to know whose poster took first place, but they said that results will be on Monday. We sat in the yard, played volleyball, relaxed, talked with some pupils and students and had friends. We wanted wait disco but we knew that disco is not be. We came back home. But on the way we talked about sword teppa, how it is ordinary from outside but unordinary from inside, how many or much books there etc. But after some minutes we had to get off from car. We went away, each to own home.

Hello everybody! I am Madina. I participated in English language day in Sword Teppa in Kurgan-tube. And now I want to write about my own opinion. We made some posters to some proverbs, because there are was competitions and exhibition. When we came to Sword Teppa we saw many presentations of different organizations which tell about there work and some of them gave to us booklets. In the booklets were written in details about there work and about there intentions and conditions. Exhibition was very interesting. And Mr.Pol gave for us place, where we hugging our posters. And there are two girls came to us and begin to tell us about there English school in Dushanbe. They said us about new project, The name of that project is “—————–“. And they told us about there conditions, and said, that’s we can to study in there school and that’s its very good school. And from there school now majority of pupils study in America and other countries. They gave for us information about there school and gave to us booklets, that’s to understand everything about there school better. It was very nice, that’s they are told to us about there school. And after it we went to the presentation, which was in the Sword Teppa center on the first floor. But there are was lack of place. And we went on the ground floor where was a big library. In the library were many interesting and knowledgeable books on the English language. And this library is largest library in whole Tajikistan. After the library we went to the yard where we begin to play in games about colors with one teacher from Dushanbe. It were very good games. After the game began talking with British ambassador. This talking was very wonderful and the main part of the English day. Ambassador told us about his work. He said that’s they want to help to Tajikistan to solve some problems, to share with there plans and projects. And he said that’s they want to build any English school or any institution. He said that’s in1993he was in Kazakhstan and now he here in Tajikistan. Everybody gave to him different questions and he answered on all question. And I gave to him some questions and he also answered on my questions too. He told a little about his motherland and, that he came back from his motherland a week ago. And that’s his hometown are wet. And ambassador said that’s he always travel in Tajikistan. He was a strong and high man. And to my mind he very kind man. He know many foreign languages. And it was very wonderful day!

Victory Day.Let no one forget. Let nothing be forgotten”.

Dear boys and girls! Soon we’ll celebrate a great holiday – Victory Day. It’s a special day. It’s a wonderful holiday different from all other holidays. It is a national holiday and at the same time a very personal one.

Young generations know about the Great Patriotic War only from books and films. But it is difficult to believe that their hearts are not excited on Victory day. Every year War veterans in large cities and small villages come together to celebrated Victory Day. They traditionally go to the War memorials to honor the memory of war heroes. But the numbers of them become fewer from year to year. Time takes that historic day farther away from us, but we always must remember  it because it is closely related with our grandparents or great grandparents which did all their best to bring this victory close. Soviet Union lost more than 20 million of people in that war and saved the world from fascism. We should never forget those who gave their lives for the Motherland. And our lesson is devoted to the War heroes.

It is known in all over the worlds the deeds of Soviet people done for the sake of all mankind during the years of Great Patriotic War.

Young leaders and and English club members visited two War veterans and celebrate war vetarns with Victory Day and sing them song and poems about Motherland and gave them their presents.War veterans weer very happy to see them.
