Every year our ILC celebrate Thanksgiving day. This holiday is pure American, that celebrate in fourth Thursday of November. This year we celebrated early, on 25 and 26 of November. First day we baked pumpkin pie, it’s the symbol of Thanksgiving. At the beginning our teacher told us about History of this Holiday. There are some books in our class about this holiday we read them. And we had crafting too. We created pilgrims man and woman out of papers. And in our plays we used them. We played two plays, told the history of holiday, read poems and played in different games. We invited other teachers in our lesson. Teachers were from nearby school. They liked our lesson and learned about history of this holiday. And gave us questions.
I Olim together with Madina showed how Squanto met Massasoit and told what he saw a big ship in the shore and what he think about that and what they have to do. We had this activity and students told what they are thanks for this year? All students were thankful for the roof over their head, friends, family they have and of course they are very thanksful that they come to ILC this year and leared many new things. They say that we learned more about English. And I think that students should learn something more about the language they learn about its history, traditions, famous people ad etc. Zebo Murodova.
