I wanted to write you how i spent my summer holidays. In this summer i was in two camps. One is GCE camp and another NSLi_Y camp. Now i want to write a bit about the second camp.
During six weeks i was away from this website as i was in one wonderful camp by name NSLY-I camp directed my American Council organization. 7 American highschool girls came to Tajikistan to learn Tajik language and culture. And 7 Tajik students who were semifinalist of FLEX program were invited to this camp to learn about USA and its culture. As you see all participants of this camps are girls. It was girl power camp.I and Nigora an English teacher taught Tajik girl English language. And two other English teacher Mavjuda and Muharram taught Tajiki to American girls. And once in a week they learned Persian- Farsi the language of our ancistors.
The camp was called ‘ Nadejda. It was in Varzob area. As a extra class students learned Tajik dance class, Gulduzi, Zarduzi, National Kitchen and Tajik Art class.
During these six week US girls learned tajik language and culture and visited all seesighting places in Dushanbe. I liked the camp very much and i have many new friends now.
Ilike exchange programs you can learn about another culture and its traditions and language. And while you are abroad you can value more your own country’s traditions and customs.
